Verzon LG Optimus Vu Photos

LG announced its Optimus Vu smartphone-tablet hybrid at Mobile World Congress in February. Unlike its closest competitor, the Galaxy Note, the Vu features an odd 4:3 aspect ratio and a rather unsightly design. The oversized “phablet” was also released with less fanfare than the Note, which has been quite successful according to Samsung. LG is still determined to bring the phablet stateside, however. Late last month the Vu showed up at the FCC with support for Verizon’s 4G LTE network and now, according to images obtained by AndroidPolice, the device isn’t far off.

The Vu is shown with Verizon branding on the front, and the company’s usual 4G LTE logo on the rear. Unlike its Korean counterpart, the U.S.-bound phablet will run Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, although other specs have not been confirmed. The international Vu is equipped with a 5-inch IPS display with a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, along with a dual-core Snapdragon S3 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 1GB of RAM, a stylus and an 8-megapixel rear camera.

The return of 4:3 lol. Think as a phone with this resolution will result in failure. Phone will be more "fat" than "phat"
