Top problems with iPhone 4S, Galaxy S III, other leading phones revealed in new report

Though some people seem to form unhealthy attachments and allegiances to their smartphones, no handset will ever be perfect. The screen is too small, the screen is too big, the battery doesn’t last long enough, the phone exploded… it’s always something. A new report from product Q&A service FixYa uses data gathered from more than 15 million reports filed by the service’s users to compile a list of the most common problems facing Apple’s iPhone 4S, Samsung’s Galaxy S III and a number of other leading smartphone models.

iPhone 4S owners’ most common complaint with their phone is poor battery life, with 45% of all iPhone 4S questions filed on FixYa’s site focusing on the battery. 20% complain about Wi-Fi connectivity issues, 15% list problems with Bluetooth connections and 10% report troubles with Siri.

Though Samsung’s new Galaxy S III smartphone is just beginning to trickle out here in the U.S., FixYa already has plenty of data on the new flagship Android phone. 50% of complaints filed cover a microphone malfunction, 15% discuss battery life and 15% list heat issues.
