I'm not entirely sure what is causing this error but so far it only happens with these two games, Batman Arkham City (demo version) and L.A. Noire. When I try to launch either of them, I get this message:

C:\Windows\system32\d3dx11_43.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system adminstrator or the software vendor for support

followed by this one:

Failed to load library "d3x11_43.dll"

Now I thought it was linked just to DirectX 11, but both games gave me the option to use a different version of DirectX to render and I still get this error. All of my other games that use other versions of DirectX (including 11) run fine which is why I'm confused that these two don't.

To my knowledge I hadn't done anything before to cause this error except to install these games, I had never gotten this error before installing them and had never had any DirectX related errors beforehand on this machine.

In an attempt to solve this, thus far I have:

Uninstalled/Reinstalled both games

Updated DirectX (always says latest version is already installed)

Updated my video card drivers

Reboot

All to no avail. I've hit a wall and I'm out of ideas so I was hoping maybe one of our Guru's could help me out

I'm not sure what all specs you guys need so I've only included my system information and my display devices

If you need anymore information please ask and I will do my best to provide it!

system specs:

Have you tried to search this exact "d3x11_43.dll" file? Maybe you are missing it at all?.

If the search doesn´t give any results (it should be somewhere in C:\Windows\System32 if Im not mistaken) then try to DL it(but I hope you have antivir).
