Volan Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 I'm not sure if its legal to say something like this BUT I'd love to play more on jay2 but that spam protection makes me crazy is there any way to make it more comfortable for some players like me? or just enable spam for members cos they definitely wont spam because of the laws! thx for replying or banging me for this suggestion! Why would it need to be disabled then? I've never had problems with spam protection and I can't think of any reason except spamming. Quote

The fun vsays are useless but i do need the team vsays so i can get health , ammo , green needle etc and i can never call for it on that server . Its quite annoying but the fun vsays being spammed is even more annoying . Quote

But for the sake of fun vsays id say spam protection is there for reason If people including regulars enforce the spam rule more, maybe the spam protection wouldn't be so low to begin with. every time I'm on there and I tell people to chill out with the spam, the responses is "turn off vsays", it shouldn't work that way. they are still spamming the console with useless stuff and it gets old. mutes and other actions need to be done Quote
Spaceballs Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 You have to see it from this point: If you don't want spam protection, there are plenty others FA servers, where you can use fun vsays as well as other vsays all the time. On Jay2, however, there play a lot of raters. So, if I was playing for rate, I'd get pretty annoyed by vsays, distracting me all the time. Doesn't matter if it is vsays for teams, or for fun. In order to keep the server regulars attached to Jay 2 the spam protection is in place. And pretty useful... Quote
BoomStick Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Those fun vsays are pretty much the sole reason I rarely play on other FA servers. I like to play with headphones on, as it's easier to pay attention with and it's also more respectful to my housemates. It gets far too distracting, however, when every few seconds somebody plays a clip that shouts, "YOOOOOUUUU'RRREEE GAYYY". That is just not enjoyable for me. Someone mentioned you could turn them off but I'd be damned if I can figure out how. Quote
Volan Posted May 19, 2012 Author Posted May 19, 2012 i didn't mean to turn the voice spams off like yohooo or other stuffs! but as bipo and yellow flesh mentioned its annoying then i cant say anything to my team or just thank for the green needle! and the other reason is that i like to speak with others while i'm playing that's why i'm in this clan, to have buddies speak with and having fun not just hooting the faces! and if i'm also laying i'm not always replying from the console bar rather then by pressing global chat "T" and in that case i i cant rewrite my text by pressing up and down so i should type it once again.. which is also anoying.. If you want that feature, use the console. grr dude.. enought i dont understand why are u so offensive...i didnt ment to offend u or something! i've asked just a simply question it doesnt mean to kill me or smthg...oh yeah and i use vent just the only problem is no1 is online and i'm using xfire but actualy u can understand the experience between these communication lines and et... btw if i realy wanted to i could rewrite the program for me thx ohh and besides.. others agreed with me so i guess my request werent so insane...
