You're wrong: first of all, there is no such thing as 'Mario Kart', the possible titels you are refering too are :Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario Kart: Double Dash, Mario Kart DS, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Kart 7. As you can see, none are simply called 'Mario Kart'. Secondly: The shell in this video is a Blue Koopa Troopa Shell with Spikes, which dont just appear in the Kart games, but also in tons of other Mario Spin-offs.
