Sponge Posted October 14, 2009 Share Posted October 14, 2009 (edited) I just installed COD4 1.7 patch on my computer. I was on Vent and was heard that I should make a copy of the game and install it in that so that is what I did but it turns out that I have to start a new profile. Artisan Posted October 14, 2009 Share Posted October 14, 2009 Vista users need to copy the contents of this folder C:\Users\"USERNAME"\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\ and replace the contents of the 1.7 folder (right next to it) with them in order to keep your profile/preferences/controls/ etc. In this thread (although in the 2nd post which is mine) : Dual 1.6 / 1.7 Installs Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
