Have tried installing files and patches etc to get started. Played a lot several yrs back. The game starts with sound and graphics ok and downloads from sites but once ready comes up with errors. Please help!! :rolleyes:

Please could you providemore information like SS(screenshot) or \condump error.txt of error, the OS you are using, which ET patch do you have installed, which server you are trying to connect.

I just want to join a starters server and play. I dont want to run a server.

When i join server and the files are downloaded i kicks me out and the error is game code (ui_mp_x86_dll ) failed pure server check. Cheers

im tryin to remember when i started back up i think i got that too. Have you tried right-clicking the et icon and running as administrator? Try that.
