Here's a test for y'all.

You're driving down the freeway and suddenly notice a severe vibration and you know something is wrong.

What plan of action do you take..?

A.) pull of the road as soon as safely possible and call a tow truck,

B.) slowly travel to the next exit, pull into a garage and get it fixed

or

C.) accelerate to try to catch up to traffic just to see what will happen.

If you answered a or b, you are smarter than at least one highly-paid Sprint Cup driver. Now that he's wrecked most of the other drivers at one time or another AND a piece of track equipment, can we please send him back to open wheel Chip?

* PS -- (i found this comment on the NASCAR website and thought it was funny and VERY true):

Gobshite.. Could have ended a lot worse! All I'll say is that he's a lucky lucky man, but in all honesty when you're in a race or even in a car for that sake and you hear something happen to the car, your initial thought is to pull in and check it out or wait til the next garage as someone posted on Nascar website as Gravedigger said.

I'm happy he's alright after it, but at the same time he should have known better! He won't make the same mistake again that's for sure :P

Wow, I just now realized that he left Formula 1 back awhile ago (his last season was 2006.). Didn't know he switched to NASCAR.

When you are driving a car you rely on your team as well to check the telemetry on the car and team decided to release him back to the track after the pit stop, Montoya is a very good driver and given a proper car he can do wonders. That was a freak accident and to before you blame Montoya why in the hell would there be any race cars on the track while you have a jet dryer drying the track. Blame NASCAR.

Montoya in Formula 1 was a good pilot, I think you have to search in his team the problem lol
