kush Posted January 3, 2012 Share Posted January 3, 2012 hey all, wondering if someone could help me with a problem. when i recently connected to the hardcore server, my cg_autoaction had changed to 1 for some reason, and my chat text doesn't show up (besides in console) and now i can't get that back. i've fixed the autoaction, but the text won't come back :[ not too big a deal, just can't see who is asking for med or talking. i've tried b_popuptime, cg_chattime, and cg_teamchattime. i think there's another command to see the chat text though but i can't figure it out. thanks for reading :] Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Have you tried cg_chatAlpha ? Or maybe you edited your hud, I don't know if it's possible to hide your chat area. It must be some cvar you just have to find out which. One thing you can do, is making a backup of your profiles folder (the one inside silent folder) then delete it from there. (or just the etconfig.cfg there, you don't need to remove the whole folder) When you play, a new one will be created with default settings, and if you have solved your issue you could check what's changed with one of those text diff software, if you don't solve you can still put your profile folder back from the copy you made. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
