Iceman24 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Hello guys! As the title says I have a problem with my Direct X. When I'm in game on CoD4 some times I get kicked off with a error or when the game loads people and other textures are blacked out. This problem started about 2-4 days ago. I went to this site http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=35 and down loaded that version. It didn't really help. If any one could help me with this problem that would be great. Thank you. Quote
Vanaraud Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Did you try to update\roll back video drivers? And what exactly that error is saying? Quote
Iceman24 Posted December 2, 2011 Author Posted December 2, 2011 I tried to update my drivers but I have a old card and the last update was in February 2010. This is what the error says: directx encountered an unrecoverable error. Quote

Iceman24 Posted December 5, 2011 Author Posted December 5, 2011 This is what was in the log (9-10 Trojans). I think I might of erased the log with the spyware. jaie Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Ok, it's not norton, so try change your graphics / texture settings in CoD4, and if that doesn't work, test another game to see whether it's just CoD4 or not. Quote

jaie Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 if it's a trojan, then you have to make sure that the trojan is completely deleted, and then reinstall / repair CoD4 files / driver files, but I don't think it is the trojan cause it looks like some java thing. Quote
Iceman24 Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 Thanks for all of your help guys. I lowered the graphics and textures and so far it hasn't given me a problem. I'll let you know if it does. You guys are the best and again thanks for your help. Quote
