I had a good computer to run et and was wondering on what i can do to get the most out of the game settings, like the cg_ stuff and whatnot. What does everyone recommend for jay2? already did most of the normal stuff, just want some advice on advanced stuff.

Well, I got this site with every CVAR which is possible on ET. Here it is: http://www.antman.info/wolf/cvar/

From this site you can copy-paste any cvar you want into your CFG. It helped me a lot when I created my own CFG.

 

And about the thing ''What everyone recommends to play with.''. You can't really recommend everything, some things are your personal opinion. Some like to play with a sensitivity of 2.3 and some like to play with a sensitivity of 4.7.. Everyone got his own preferences and opinion about things.

 

So, I would suggest to try some different things out and see which one fits you the best :)

However, some CVar's are just a ''must'' for good aiming etc.. (small crosshair, crosshair as dot is for most the best, not too high sensitivity, a fov of 90 in a close fight and a higher fov in a wider range fight.. etc..)

I wouldn't recommend switching fov's. Just use whichever you wish ( I use 120 and imo its the best) and just get used to it.
