ajnl Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 (edited) So I looked around for a way to customize my macbook. Like themes etc. Its too bad that its almost impossible to really make your macbook any different from someone else's macbook. Besides changing your background and folders. I found an application called Geektool, which is not for the average user. But if you want it, you can download it from the app stores. There are enough tutorials and scripts out there so that even ppl like me can add some cool things to your desktop to make it look different. You can download it here: http://itunes.apple....456877552?mt=12 Here are some simple scripts: http://smokingapples...to-awesomeness/ To change the look of your folders and dock download candybar 3: http://panic.com/candybar/ If any1 knows other cool programs for customizing a macbook. let me know! Anyways, just wanted to let anyone who has a macbook here know. Edited November 16, 2011 by ajnl Quote

Krauersaut Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 there is an app similar to this called mac pilot. It's very cool, I suggest you check it out Pardon me, but how is MacPilot similar to Geektool? That's a bit like comparing apples and oranges. Geektool lets you display various kinds of information on your desktop via files, images or shell commands. MacPilot allows you to "unlock" "hidden" features and tweak your system. Quote
=FlA=Duk Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Well I thought that it was similar in the sense that they both let you do things on a mac that you normally can't Quote
