The game will ship out on release day meaning that you will not have it on release day. For a $12 savings I can wait a couple days since it is released on Tuesday and I'll have BF3 to keep me busy.

 

If amazon or another retailer has release day shipping for a better price, I'll cancel this order.

Pre-ordered mine from Steam last week...kinda wish I had waited now...but at least I'll have it on release day :\

i preordered off play.com a couple months ago for 41 euro including delivery and tax

You should be able to cancel any pre-order. I found this talking about steam refund. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1117862

 

Although it will be nice having it from day 1.
