Thought this was pretty interesting. Looks like Qualcomm is planning on making chipsets for phones, tablets and other "nextgen" devices that will include single/dual/quad core 2.5 Ghz chips! Wow! Is that really necessary for a phone? I thought my new Bionic was fast.....

Waited for the bionic huh?

Yes indeedy. Once I heard that Verizon wasn't getting the Galaxy S II, it was a pretty easy choice. I thought about waiting for the rumored Nexus Prime (or Droid Prime) that's supposed to be coming to Verizon in late Oct. or Nov, but I figured I waited long enough. I couldn't be happier. Its sooooo much faster than my old Eris. :D

There are a lot of cool looking upcoming smartphones on Verizon. The Nexus Prime, HTC Vigor and Revolution 2 all look to be solid phones. I have the Bionic now and its fantastic. Dual core 1Ghz, 1Gb Ram, 4G LTE. You can find a lot of info on PhoneArena.com (includes reviews of available and specs on upcoming phones) and PhoneDog.com. All of these "high end" smartphones are pretty pricey (Bionic=299.99 on contract), but they are screaming fast. Guess it all depends on what you're looking for. There are a lot of options. By Christmas you'll have a really good variety of phones to choose from. :)
