rolf Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Not a single good number in this topic... Well, Tiesto is good only his older (pre-traffic) songs, and the part with the violin sucks (although Lethal Industy, if I remember correctly, is quite nice). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8R2vT8EM2ac Guus Meeuwis - Het is een nacht (Brabant is also very good, as well as many more) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ROk9v3lfZs Boudewijn de Groot - Land van Maas en Waal Most of the other songs could come from any country in which people could speak English. It's like saying that Armin van Buuren is a great Dutch artist. Yeah he's Dutch, yeah he's a great artist, but he spends not that much time in the Netherlands nowadays, nor is any Dutch influence (like, language) present in his music. And yes, it helps if you can understand the lyrics. Quote
classic Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 like tiesto too and some dubstep but this is real dutch culture Quote
TheDude Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 What most people dont know is that the Vengaboys is also a Dutch band... but much more popular abroad than in Holland itself... Quote
rolf Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 The Vengaboys are soooo my-elemantary-school time. If I look at this, it was also famous in the Netherlands. Anyway, as I said, I don't really consider them part of the Dutch culture, any country could have such band making the same music Quote
