I installed my win xp serveral years ago, still running fine without reinstalling...

If something goes wrong (which rarelly happens, since I don't install loads of useless stuff) I restore a working (cloned) copy without reinstalling anything..

 

cloning ftw. In the past I used an old version of ghost, now I use clonezilla (not really user friendly, but free)

 

when I switched to linux, I stopped caring about xp partition getting screwed, but still it doesn't :D

Fortunally I've never had to install windows. I buy computers with pre installs of windows.

 

I had much viruses and one destroyed my Sony Vaio Notebook. Afterthat I bouht a great Desktop from Medion ^^ Now I have Kaspersky as anti Virus.
