A partial lunar eclipse will take place on August 27 through 28, with almost the entire moon "covered" by Earth's shadow.

 

The eclipse will be visible from North and South America, Europe and Africa.

 

The eclipse begins at 9:23pm EDT and view gets more interesting at 10:33pm EDT when the partial eclipse begins and Earth's dark umbral shadow starts to cover the lunar surface.

 

Maximum eclipse will be at 12:12am EDT when 96.2% of the moon will be immersed in Earth's umbra.

 

The partial phase ends at 1:51 EDT with the penumbral eclipse concluding at 3:01am EDT

I'm a rookie at this but I did an impulse buy that will hopefully help me see it even better 😄🔭🌑

From my place at the Yucatan Peninsula was quite good, at 11pm
