kirishimaWEEB Posted July 22 Posted July 22 (edited) Finally got a new decent setup Showcasing current 2 temp gaming computers I'm using & I'm setting up a proper gaming room/setup in future 😄 (and need a new phone LOL sorry for the toaster quality hahaaaha) Main Setup : Display : -Primary Monitor : MSI 2560*1440 | 300 Hz | HDCP @0.5ms response time (Mini LED) (HDR) -Secondary Monitor : ASUS VG248 G-SYNC |165 Hz| HDCP @0.5ms response time Keyboard: Some random REDRAGON Mouse : Glorious model D (Old , wired had this for 6 years+ 😄 ) Headset : Hyper X Cloud Alpha 2 (wired) Second setup (Bed/g**n) : Processor : Amd Ryzen 5 3600X 6-Core Processor (3.80 GHz) RAM: 16.GB (DDR4) Storage : -SSD -HDD : 2.0 TB Graphics card : GPU0: GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER (6GB) Display : HIK-LCD |1080p|60Hz Keyboard : Some REDDRAGON Mouse : HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2 (wireless) Speakers. ALOT to change in my main setup . For starters , I'm waiting on the Wooting 80HE for my keyboard . As for the mouse , I'd love some recommendations ideally something with a very very similar shape/grip to the Glorious Model D. (it's the only mouse I can use but it's dying 😄 ) This one : I also have a question about RAM : Is a memory upgrade actually necessary for high-end setup if everything so far is running smoothly? I've posted in a few places , and people keep telling me I need at least 64GB for the 5080/9800X3D. However , everything seems completely fine for now , no bottlenecks and great overall performance. Granted , it's a new system and I have barely anything running on background / very few programs If it's a necessity or I decide to upgrade the ram, what's best option? 1. Buy new 32x2 GB (speed/stable) 2.stack 2 more sticks 16x2 so four out of four slots. 3. 2x64GB and jump to 128 so no hassle ? Budget isn't really an issue but I don't want to waste money on capacity i'll never actually use , Usage : Heavy Gaming + Light AI Local Image generation (I'm still learning basic prompting and ForgeUI) Would love to hear your thoughts!
