New PC

Hello guys, I need support.  I have a new PC with Win11 and can't get my data, game status, etc. from the old Windows onto the new PC. I copied Etmain and tried everything. The game doesn't accept my data and always starts without my data. Can someone please help meThanks

Which game version are You using, legacy or 2.60b?

 

If You are using etlegacy then You need to transfer the data to the etlgeacy folder in documents on drive c.

Oh damn, I don't even know that. But I think I read Legacy once. I'll try that and let you know...

I see, if You are using Legacy then You need to transfer Your data to the C:\Users\%Yourname%\Documents\ETLegacy folder, not to the Program files folder. But if You used Legacy before and only copied the folder from the program files then unfortunately Your xp did not transfer.

Could it be that win 11 is the problem?

So when your talking your "data" are you talking your in game stats like xp from FA servers, your config such as what button is crouch ect? If your meaning your xp and your config is all there Im happy to walk you through transferring your et key

# ET: LEGACY INSTALLATION GUIDE (D:\ DRIVE)

### 1. DOWNLOAD
Download the "Windows 32-bit (x86)" installer from:
https://www.etlegacy.com/download

### 2. INSTALLATION
Run the installer and change the destination path to:
D:\ETlegacy\

### 3. SHORTCUT & HOMEPATH SETUP
1. Go to D:\ETlegacy\
2. Right-click "etl.exe" -> Show more options -> Create shortcut.
3. Right-click the new shortcut -> Properties.
4. In the "Target" field, add a space at the end and paste:
   +set fs_homepath "D:\ETlegacy"

   Example: "D:\ETlegacy\etl.exe" +set fs_homepath "D:\ETlegacy"

5. Go to the "Compatibility" tab.
6. Check "Run this program as an administrator".
7. Click OK.

### 4. CONFIG TRANSFER (.CFG ONLY)
1. Go to your old ET 2.60b "etmain" folder.
2. Copy your config files (e.g., autoexec.cfg, yourname.cfg).
3. Paste them into: D:\ETlegacy\etmain\
   
   ⚠️ IMPORTANT: Do NOT copy or overwrite any .pk3 files!

### 5. ACTIVATE CONFIG IN-GAME
1. Launch the game from the shortcut.
2. Open the console (tilde key ~ or \).
3. Type the following and press Enter:
   \exec yourname.cfg
4. Then type:
   \vid_restart
5. Press Enter.

DONE! Your game is now running from D:\ and your Windows 11 Documents folder stays clean.

Yes the XP, strangely enough I can't find the etkey even though it was there. The server is the. 164,132,203,173:27960

 it is silent mod. ???    i havent played silent in long time .. but if i remember correct it saves ur id diff than  in other mods. hopefully sum one can verify .there is another folder  sum where's its saved in. just cant remember how it goes. sorry.  all xp is  set by your etkey or id number. if u dont have this saved and place it on correct folder it wont know ur xp ..u had before on diff pc.  when i went from w7 to w 11 i couldn't bring my old keys with it wouldn't open them . so i had to start all over my self. in w11 you do need to give each folder admin privileges or ull encounter endless problems. in regular et 2.60b your key is in your etmain folder.  etlegacy well that diff too , i tested this mod back in the day an found it to be peer crap  , it was slower and i didnt like how i felt like i was in slow motion . so i unistalled that crap and never went back to it  it suposed to be fixed now.  so  basically if u dont have your key or ur id how it saved in silent u wont be able to get ur xp back.

Ich habe den Mist also deinstalliert und nie wieder angefasst. Angeblich ist das Problem jetzt behoben. Kurz gesagt: Wenn du deinen Key oder deine ID nicht hast, so wie sie im Hintergrund gespeichert wurden, kannst du deine XP nicht wiederherstellen.

One question, how can you remove the country flag next to the player that is on the left next to the name?
