Et:silent, Beginners #2, can’t join

Hello there !

since today I have trouble connecting to beginners #2 (silent). When I try to join I get following error message:

 

Hunk_AllocateTempMemory: failed on 16777764

 

Does anyone know what to do?

Hmm it’s unable to allocate 1.6 mb

 

open console and type the following and retry 

/set com_HunkMegs “512”

/set com_ZoneMegs “128”

/set com_SoundMegs “64”

 

report back if issue continues and I’ll assist further

Well now I have the problem to set those megs.

for example: com_hunkmegs is 56 but latched ist 512. if I restart it’s still 56. I can’t safe the new settings

The config should automatically write can you tell me more about what client you are using et legacy ect, what operating system, what path its installed to? Do you have an autoexec.cfg that’s overwriting the new changes?

There's a trick to get ZoneMegs working.

Go to the ET icon, right-click, and in the shortcut field, add: `set com_zonemegs 128`. ZoneMegs should then work when you launch it. It should look like this:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\ET.exe" set com_zonemegs 128
