ET Rating Question

I never messed with rating before. But I was playing around on Trackbase and saw where I could unlock it last month so I did, but I'm not sure how it works.

 

One, why were so many mps not rated when I played the entire map, except Kerkyra, and what are the formulas for Rate and TSP? What does TSP mean?

TSP = Top Skill Points. You get those depending on your performance in-game. Same goes for RP = Rate Points. You have to have good aim, good efficiency, positive Kill/Death ratio with way more kills than deaths, in order to go up in the ranking. This is how you progress.

 

As you can see, there is a category called "flags". If you see a black "B" icon, it means the game you played had too many bots to be rankable. If there is a cross, it means you did not play a game from the start, to the end, so you MUST do it to be able to get points. The green checkmark means you're gaming session was ranked by meeting the two previous requirements : very little to no bots and you have to play the map to the end from the start of it.

I hadn’t checked Trackbase in a long time and did that after this post. I was a regular on BBA back in the day and they have bots named after some players. A lot of them are variations of name or a pun, but mine is just a mix of caps and lower case so it looks like the real me is combined with the bot version of me on trackbase showing that I have 1614 days of playing time. I play a lot I suppose, but not that much haha! Also happy to see the real me is better than the bot me 😀

Just a small correction - you need to play 2/3 of the map, not entire map 😊

yeah, and that 2/3 is counted from the map duration not its full lenght, lets say u play oasis that ends in 10mins after starting, in that case playing 6-7 mins of the map would be enough to get rated.

Nonsense. Only xp per minute matters. You can stand in one place, e.g. at your own respawn and ‘play’ as a fops and throw ammo packs. This way, you can effortlessly achieve a high rate which is not an indicator of your skills.

theres 2 diff ratings, the normal "rating" wich works as you described, and also TSP rating wich does not accumulate the same way. AFAIK it doesnt count given ammo/medpacks n sht, but only killed enemies and idk if it also counts hs/acc.

Maybe for RP yes, but TSP is based on your in-game skills, the ones I previously mentionned.

The "B" icon indicates that the map had too many bots involved, hence the rating of that map was disabled.

That sucks. 

 

The BOT Thing occurred later at night, with none to several BOTS as the map progressed. 

Some were the opposite. The server filled up, removing the Bots.

 

I asked ChatGPT before posting this, and skills definitely matter, like doing Engi things, getting the objectives, etc, as well as KDA and efficiency

 

@Armagedonyx This explains why I see guys I know that I can beat most of the time with higher ratings, because I almost always just frag and never play the objective or build/repair things.

Not everything it says are lies, but double checks are always advised when asking questions to an AI.
