Weird bug on silent mod

Hi,

 

Tonight i played on HC, and HC work on silent mod. And I have noticed than I can't use my vsay on this mod. For example, if I press "v", i get the menu for choosing 1 to 7 (or 8), after i choose for example "5", i can after choose "4" to say hello, but nothing happend when i do "v54", same with the other vsay. No text, and no sound. Vsay worked on Jaymod very well. My version of ET is from steam, so it's maybe the problem. Someone knows anything about this weird bug? Someone knows where the vsay setting are in the etconfig, maybe my steam version erase something (it does weird things since I started using it).

Hello,

first thing i would suggest you download ETLegacy. this is most updated ET client version. idk about steam.

but there would be few commands you can try out if restarting the game didnt fix the issue, 

 

cg_voiceChats 1
cg_voiceText 1
cg_noVoiceChats 0
cg_noVoiceText 0

 

just get ETLegacy and you will thank me later

Thx, the cg_noVoiceChats 0 was on 1 for an unknow reason.

I will give another try to etlegacy when i will reinstall my OS in 2-3 weeks. Thank you!

Finally the bug came back, but I found a quick fix, dont go on a server jaymod and after on a server silent mod...

 

Yeah I will definitively try to install etlegacy again soon. loll

 

Maybe 1 day i will do a review on the forum of the weirdest bug of the steam version, just for the laugh.?

sounds like your default config for silent is different than the one for jaymod.  You should be able to edit your etconfig.cfg file within the silent folder

Yes, changing between mods without restarting ET is known to generate issues.

 

If I go from silent to jaymod, then I don't have hitsounds in jaymod.

 

Old game, weird bugs, restart should fix it.

what do we learn from this? don't join jaymod?!

 

its good to have you .cfg in each mod folder to refresh when needed
