So after approx 12 years of not playing, I've decided to recently start playing again. 

This made me wonder, how long have you all been playing?

I'm Curious!

Not 100% sure on the year but either 2019 or 2020.

Since game release.

 

I was playing Quak2, Quake3 before.

Q3 multiplayer was so revolutionary upon release.

 

And before that Doom 1 and Doom 2 solo 😁

2005-2006. Took many break but always came back. Really the only PC game I have always played no matter what. Hoping it’s around for another 20 years 😀

I played from 2006-2014, then had a break and came back in 2019/2020 and still play today 😄

Oof. Took a break, but, 2004 is when I started

Oh boy. For me, 2001. RTCW 😄 

Then of course 2003 to ET. Stopped in 2007 had to take a full break from gaming/PC all together until 2010. 

Break again later in 2010 until 2012. Tried again from 2012 until about 2015, another 1 year break 😛 

Came back late 2016, for a few months until my PC took a poop-a-doop. Had other things going on such as having a kid, buying a house. Didn't worry until 2020 got a new PC. Things were looking up! God injured at work in late 2022 and couldn't play again until late 2023/early 2024. Still going strong I think I am back for good this time! xD 

 

On a side note, @Willin2reck I am happy to see you made it to the forums! I have been wanting to catch you! I noticed over the last few evenings you have been struggling very hard to get connected into the server. Needless to say I am happy you are so "Willing2reckonnect" 😄

I started with Q3A Beta in 1999.

Q3A is the base of RTCW and RTCW:ET.

RTCW Beach Beta started in august 2001.

And me and a friend of mine hosted one

of the first server worldwide, called TBAR

(two bored admins presents a 45 min game, Beach only)

I’ve been playing Wolfenstein games since they looked like this

 

 

For the uninitiated, that’s Castle Wolfenstein on a Commodore 64. It was released in 1983. It served as the inspiration for Wolfenstein 3D. Amazing game for its time and considered a pioneer in stealth gaming.

 

I have been playing Enemy Territory since its launch in 2003. I have some demos from those days
