ELSO Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Hi, As we all know, Jay1 is very popular server. It easily reaches maximum capacity every day. In my opinion, there is way too many grenades available to players. The problem is, there is plenty of narrow maps, none of them were created to play 27vs27. It is so chaotic, that people prefer to stand in one spot for 30 minutes and throw nades because that's more efficient way to play for them. Let's take etdo6 as an example. Narrow corridors, usually atleast 10 axis standing there throwing nades. Each player gets 4 nades so that means theres at least 40 nades thrown in few seconds. Ah, yes, let's not forget about another 5 engineers camping with rifle nades. How can allies get through? - They can't, unless miracle happens, so they decide to stand and throw nades as well and it all end up in pointless constest of throwing nades. Solution: 4 grenades is absolutely fine when the player count is less than 15vs15. People need them to destroy for example a tank. however when it gets to +15vs15 it's just chaos, so my question is, is it possible to limit number of nades per player based on the current amount of players? If not, then wouldn't it be better overall if people only had 2 nades instead of 4? Thanks 1 Quote

Also thx to "one-tap weapons" like rnade&panzer low skills players/old et veterans can have some frags. I never said that you are suggesting to get rid of them, but when you put a limit on a specific weapon, some players will loose a chance of using it. also players will start fighting over them, just like they do over panzerfaust Edited February 10 by Siwex89 1 Quote

It takes timing and skill to be good with throwing grenades. Plus, you can only throw a grenade a relatively short distance. Rifle Grenades are the problem. There are too many per team, especially when the server isn't at maximum capacity. 5 players each team with three grenades, before they have to recharge. On G_rush Monday evening, I died 8 times in a row at different parts of the map by the 5 players with Rifle 'nades. It's frustrating as hell, especially when the server is full and you have to dodge the 5 rifle grenades, the 2 players who constantly spam arty, the Panzer-camper and the mortar landing outside or inside of spawn, while trying to be effective for your team and try to stay alive to get a few kills before you die. All the heavy weapons just kills the things about this game that make it beautiful. And some older vets wish younger players would take a minute and learn the game, maybe get battleskills to level 5 before having access to spam-weapons Sorry for the rant, I'm old. Quote
