Any tip for make the portal work again in BBA?

Hi, Liquid Fart here, Tipsy no. 1 fan.

I'm having a strange issue in BBA with the view of the portal in secret rooms.

As you can see in the screenshot, I can't see through it anymore. It is a solid gray when playing.

Any suggestions?

Interesting question, i actually have the same issue.

 

I used to see through the portal and like many others, i wished i could shoot from behind the safety of the portal to hit enemies in the library.

 

Now it's gone, which is well described in the above screenshot.

 

I know i haven't accepted any update suggested when launching the game, but i often download required pk3 (map and possibly mod) when connecting to a server.

I think it is some textures settings. It worked when I was trying some player's cfgs. Then deleted all cfgs cause I can't play with those whitey textures as most pros use.

@RedBaird I'm not sure, i'd say no more than a couple of week, maybe a month.

I wonder if Dropz and I have different graphics cvar settings than the rest of you? 

 

I have simplified mine for better responsiveness on this aging computer that I built some 12? years ago.

@LiquidFart Actually i have no idea.

 

I took the screenshots and the demo from another install of the game on my disk, which i use as a clean install to emulate a local server and visit maps. 

On my real install, i have the same problem, the portal view is replaced by grey

Hi LiquidFart, could you try removing the map file and all the files connected to it from the game folder and then do a clean download at the first opportunity... could it work?
