No matter who come to represent Finland, Finland is always one of hardest team to beat, because we have great coach Jukka Jalonen. He should be coaching in NHL already, but they not choose Europian coaches in there. Probably next Europian coach is Marco Sturm, because he chose to go and make career in AHL and done good job. Its only way for Europian coach to get chance coaching in NHL. NHL often choose old coaches, they often rotates those same coaches over and over again. You once won Stanley Cup or got to finals you have life time guaranteed job in NHL no matter if NHL and hockey gaming style change and your coaching style is old and not suitable for current hockey. I wouldnt be surprised if Quenneville or Babcock get jobs in NHL in near future. They style would be old, but they have won Cup. And if you win Cup you have guaranteed job even if you messing and bullying players. As long as there will be 60-70 years old GM's they dont care anything else than winning and they keep beliving "won once won always". I am so happy to see new coaches comin and success and change game. But there is still too much old GM's so it take while before we can see true change in NHL. Also ex players have played under old style coaches and GM's so they choose often same path, we need new fresh GM's to change NHL.

So i will have two predictions FIN and CAN in finals yet again. Or Switzerland and Sweden play in finals and Switzerland win they first tittle. German is dark horse. They might surprise also.

I agree with you that Finland is always a strong contender in international hockey tournaments, thanks in part to their talented coach Jukka Jalonen and boring defensive playstyle. While it's true that European coaches are not as common in the NHL, there have been some recent examples of European coaches finding success in North America, such as Alain Vigneault and Ralph Krueger.

As for the potential finalists in the 2023 championships, Canada and Finland are both perennial powerhouses in international hockey, so it's certainly possible that they could meet in the finals. However, predicting the winner of an international tournament is always tricky, as there are many talented teams who could emerge as surprises.

Switzerland and Sweden are also strong teams with a history of success in international hockey, and it's certainly possible that they could face off in the finals. A win for Switzerland would be historic, as they have never won a gold medal in the IIHF championships.

Lastly, I agree with your assessment that Germany could be a dark horse in the tournament. While they are not traditionally considered one of the top teams in international hockey, they have been making strides in recent years and could certainly surprise some people in the 2023 championships.

one way or another, I'm already curious about it and I'm looking forward to when it starts
