DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION

Hi guys

My 1 year old PC freezes for a couple minutes and after that i automatically get BSOD with message DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION

The things I already tried:

Reinstall videocard driver

System file checker: CMD sfc /scannow

Repair hard disk: CMD chkdsk c : /f

Checked for windows 10 updates but none available

Checked for driver updates SATA controller, network adapters etc but no update available

Device manager -> device controller -> SATA controller -> iaStorAC.sys is activated

After BSOD I can see the following errors in Windows loggings:

5007 - TX/CMD timeout (TfdQueue hanged)

Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz: er is een interne fout opgetreden.

5055 - HW error

Any ideas ?

Thanks!

Oly

5007 - TX/CMD timeout (TfdQueue hanged)

Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz: er is een interne fout opgetreden.

5055 - HW error

All three of those lines have to do with your intel network, I think wifi, adapters failing.  This issue was known to cause BSOD.  There was an update or is one available for the problem.

So I installed the latest update (version 22.70.0.6) from intel website for: Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz Windows 10 64 bit

But problem still continues. I started listening to music on youtube and almost immediately the music starts to slow down until it keeps buzzing and then BSOD

Loggings:

5007 - TX/CMD timeout (TfdQueue hanged)

Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz: er is een interne fout opgetreden. --> multiple times

What I dont understand is that I'm not even using WIFI, im using cable.

Also at this point my PC cannot see/detect my headphones anymore

If you guys have more idea's please share :) Thx

Hi all

After many frustrating hours I found the solution and I will post it just in case if someone might run into the same problem :)

Desktop PC Lenovo Legion T5 28IMB05

The driver of video card NVIDIA RTX2060 updated automatically to version 471.55 and after that the BSOD WATCHDOG VIOLATION started.

A couple days ago I updated to the latest driver available 471.96 but the problem continued.

After a topic I saw on microsoft forums with people having identcal PC and identical problem I read the problem was solved by installing and older driver of the video card.

So I deleted driver 471.96 and installed an older version: 466.27 (29/04/2021)

2 days so far without BSOD.

Cya

Did this continue working? I'm having the exact same issue including with my microphone slot, and have the same computer as well. Thanks

Hi Max

Sorry for my extremely late response, im not so active anymore.

Yes, since then still no issue !

If you have the same PC and BSOD error as me than its probably the NVIDIA driver version causing problems just as it was by me.

Go to software center to check if there have been recent changes to the NVIDIA driver. For me it was the case.

1) Control panel -> programs & software -> de-install old driver of graphic card

2) Then go to the NVIDIA site and fill in the specs of your video card.

https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

Geforce -> Geforce RTX 20 series -> Geforce RTX 2060 -> Win 10 64 bit -> Game Ready Driver -> English -> search

I downloaded the oldest one available 466.27 (29/04/2021)

3) Install the older version you downloaded.

4) restart PC

Worked for me.

Hope it works for you too.

Kind regards

Oly
