They "extinguished the flame with Nitrogen"?  I would like to have seen that!  Maybe they got the outflow reduced enough that they could put one of those "caps" on the water surface around it and pump in Nitrogen.  

 

A video of a container of liquid Nitrogen poured onto a fire in a lab gas BBQer outdoors  was explosive! (from the temperature differences) 😄
