Tomato
Here's a great article from BASHandSlash with some settings to change in your config, or just ingame through console to improve fps and playability. Here's the relevant commands from the article: seta r_multiGpu "0" /r_multiGpu 0 Given that I only have the one vid-card. seta r_multithreaded_device "1" /r_multithreaded_device 1 seta r_vsync "0" /r_vsync 0 You can set this off in the graphics menus. seta r_blur_allowed "0" /r_blur_allowed 0 seta r_distortion "0" /r_distortion 0 seta r_dof_enable "0" /r_dof_enable 0 seta r_glow_allowed "0" /r_glow_allowed seta rate "25000" /rate 25000 seta cl_maxpackets "100" /cl_maxpackets 100 seta com_maxfps "125" /com_maxfps 125 seta snaps "30" /snaps 30 seta cg_drawFPS "Simple" /cg_drawFPS 1 seta snd_losOcclusion "0" /snd_losOcclusion "0" The sound occlusion one is really nice because it turns off the confusing sound thing Treyarch uses. One other setting I use is: seta drawLagometer "1"/drawLagometer "1" Which lets you monitor your connection to the server and visualize the lag spikes. Tomato
Yeah, I'm thinking I may have gained ~10 fps. If anything turning these off will remove some graphical annoyances and at least improve your gameplay. The rate, snaps, maxfps, and maxpackets, are for optimizing your connection, so you should at least do those.
Pegasus™
it helps a bit..thanks man..but I do have to point it out..PC gamer got screw again like MW2. specially FPS..also without stopping power..you can bascially run around and knife people. I just don't understand how the hell some people can run at least 90 FPS.. Edited November 11, 2010 by Pegasus
Blackops
I think this game needs new drivers or some patch to help performance. I was playing it last night with my frame rate cap to 120. And for the most part the game runs ok, but the frame rate is all over the place. It gets as low as 40 fps for me, and its just not very smooth. Even MW2 runs better than this game. Ender
Just finished playing a bit with this setup. Its a minor performance gain if any for me. Ive resorted to keeping everything set to the low setting, but it can still be a bit choppy at times. Now if I could just find our servers....
