Connection problem

Hi guys,

 

everytime, when I want to connect to F|A servers, I will receive note from server "Server disconnected - hack attempt blocked". I've found out little trick what will help me to connect then. First I have to connect some to other F|A server, where I don't wanna play (server will kick me), and then I'll connect to "Recruiting" server, where I normally play I alot.

I'd like to ask where is the problem or what I do bad? (Pls. no flame about hacking, pls - will not be funny, thank U.)

Please post more information about what version of ET your running, and what programs on your computer you are running while trying to connect to the servers. Also are you trying to run this as an administrator?

Running version 2.60

Running programs are AVG, QIP and ASUS features like ASUS live update, ASUS data security manager tray. That's all.

Playing on notebook via wireless connection, configuration Core 2 Duo T5900, 4gb ram, nvidia geforce GT 220M, Win7 home premium 65bit.

 

About that administrator U thought administrator on server or administrator on my computer?

How are you connecting to server? Do you connect using xfire?

I mean administrator from your computer. Try looking at your firewall settings to see if ET is allowed through; also run game as administrator.

I have been having the same connection issues for a few weeks. The game (usually jay1) starts well and is OK for a few minutes then gradually the connection breaks get worse until after about 30mins to an hour it's unplayable. Restarting makes no difference, it just starts bad. I have the latest patch and have manually updated Punkbuster.

 

My system (if it helps): Win7 Pro 64, 2Mb wireless (Netgear / ADSL Firewall Router), 2.80 gigahertz AMD Phenom II X4, 6Gb RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4800, ESET NOD32, Zone Alarm (free)

 

Disabling Zone Alarm makes no difference. The router is set to default settings. I run ET as Administrator. I never download anything at the same time as playing. I usually close all other programs like Thunderbird, Firefox, BitTorrent etc.. I've run broadband speed tests and usually get 2064 kbps download and 332 kbps upload. I've spoken to my ISP and there are no limitations on my account.

 

If anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful.

 

By the way, like everyone else I've lost my (270k) XP, it doesn't bother me much but what happened?

How are you connecting to server? Do you connect using xfire?

I connect directly from base menu of ET (there are buttons, what will connect me directly to server what i require).

I am as administrator for my own PC, so yes, i run it as administrator. In firewall I got ET allowed for everything.

I'll try to update PB - that's the thing, what I didn't do to this time (or I don't remember that I did it someday).

 

@Papito - Sorry me, but what are those "SS's", please?

@Daredevil - connect without xfire (don't have it at all).

1_press CTRL + Console (Left one near to 1)

2_type \autoscreenshot

3_Find it in your Game folder ex. "...Enemy territory\Etmain\screenshots"

I'm sorry, but not possible to do that. "Unknown command \autoscreenshot" everytime. Any other clue how to do that, pls?

just type \autos and press Tab, it must show you the whole sentence.
