Barnacle Posted October 24, 2020 Share Posted October 24, 2020 (edited) trying to connect today, it wants to download the nq/zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz file, which is 17 kb but for some reason cant, keeps trying to download so i cant connect... any suggestions? The most common issue with downloads is that your install either has a corrupt copy of the file needed or its got a half downloaded file which has previously failed and rather than deleting the half downloaded file the system keeps it and tries to continue the same download so you get stuck in a loop. FWIW if you remove all pk3 files that start with "z" from the etmain and the nq folder then the game should then download new copies if needed, failing that remove the entire NQ folder and let it re-download that too. The reason Legacy usually works where 2.60b fails is because legacy has its own etmain folder. Either way i'm glad you've managed to fix your issue.
