I have been playing ET for several years now and have been a F|A member for over a year. I would like to get involved with COD though and was wondering where is the best place to get a copy of the game. Let me make clear that I am not looking for a "copy" but the actual game in the box. If anybody knows of a good online company in the US where they sell it for a reasonable price would you please let me know.

Also, I have an average or below average computer that runs ET just fine, but is COD more demanding visually? Will I have any problems running it?

Any help that can be offered would be very appreciated.

thanks,

cod requires more juice, no questions asked... depending on your specs, you may have some issues.

the game is still sold at best buy, gamestop, target etc... its good to look around before purchasing to make sure its not on sale at one or the other. you could probably pick it up for > 20 bucks

I would suggest amazon.com, you can buy a normal copy, a new copy some one else bought but didnt use, a used copy, etc. They have fairly good shipping as well

http://www.amazon.com/Call-Duty-Modern-Warfare-Game-Pc/dp/B001CC8UBG/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1283787775&sr=8-4

I would suggest you get the GOTY edition so you dont have to manually patch to 1.6, only downside is you need and amazon account.

Hope this was helpful, and hope to see you on the servers soon

I bought my copy (GOTY edition in a box, unused) from ebay for roughly $30. Still waiting for it to be shipped though. I think you can get it for less, this one was more expensive because most people on ebay don't do international shipping and are limited to NA only, so my choices were limited. Steam sells it for 25 euros which is no contest when you can get a game with a box and a dvd for less money. My local store here still sells GOTY edition for like $65, sheer overpricing. What I suggest is that you torrent yourself a copy and see how it runs on your PC, that way you'll know best whether your PC is up to the task or not.
