Question

As titled. I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like my mouse input to the game is choppy. To clarify it doesn't happen out of game or in different games. I was trying to play as a sniper just messing about, and barely moving my mouse moved the scope like 10 feet. I'm not talking about sensitivity. IRL: Mouse moves | | that far, I'm talking it shouldn't hardly even register it in game. Instead it moves my aim point from | to here | no matter how slowly or smoothly I move it. Can someone help? Is there a setting I'm missing or using incorrectly? Also I don't know how to upload a video or I would. I'm using a LG G602 mouse if that matters. Thanks in advance for any help, and I apologize if this makes no sense I'll try to elaborate if asked.

Hey man welcome to the forums. I'm not sure of the DOI settings as I've never played it but have you tried setting the mouse refresh rate to 500 in the logitech software. Also try lowering your dpi settings and increasing your in game sensitivity to compensate for it. Mine is way low in all my games. Also check with a flashlight to make sure a little hair or other object isn't blocking the mouse sensor. I know you are an explosive ordnance specialist in the army, but just in case you haven't check :) And thank you for your service.

Also the following suggestions were from the logitech website for your mouse:

If your gaming mouse is behaving erratically or the mouse cursor on your screen doesn't move as expected, try the following:

  • Make sure your gaming receiver is connected directly to a USB port on your computer. Avoid using hubs.

  • Use the receiver extension cable to bring the gaming receiver closer to the mouse (see answer 44515).

  • Try a different mouse pad.

  • Avoid using your mouse on:

    • Glass or other see-through surfaces

    • Reflective surfaces such as a mirror or metal desk

    • Wood grains and grooved surfaces

    • Very high-gloss finished surfaces

Additional information

If the above steps don't solve erratic cursor movement, the problem may be caused by software. For example, if the cursor speed is set too fast, the cursor can move so quickly that it will appear erratic. You can fix this by adjusting the gaming mouse settings in Logitech Gaming Software (see answer 44493).

Thank you, this helped quite a bit. I can still feel some of the glitching but it's reduced significantly. I really appreciate it!! Thanks!

Hmmmm. I also saw a similar topic @

it was lag caused by desktop wallpaper slideshow - every time it transitioned it caused my mouse movement to lag in game. Other than constrained PC resources, like memory or CPU utilization, its hard to say. Other options would be to try with a wired mouse to see if its the device and reinstalling windows for a fresh install which I have historically done every year or so. Glad to help.
