If theyre so cheap, they might be like current AMD CPU: decent i guess, but not nearly as good as Intel

People always say that about AMD. My argument is that most people/programs don't even come close to utilizing the full potential of any new chip. I will always buy AMD. Always have and always will. In my opinion I think they are better and they are much more reasonably priced.

 

With Intel you pay double for the name. AMD's prices prove that.

I always buy amd (except for laptops => amd laptops cpu suck at my opinion ^^): the price/quality ratio is much better then Intel (Intel is better but way more expensive)

sandy bridge takes a 3.4GHz proc to 4.5 and above, and is super reliable. AMD, you only get maybe like .5 extra GHz
