    Yes I'm using Wi-Fi but it was fine until this week. I know you get some packet loss but it wasn't really causing a problem

    Hi everyone Did a quick search but couldn't find any other posts on this. I have suddenly started to get almost constant lag and frequent connection interupt when playing COD4. I have tried on (feel ashamed) other servers but have same problem so I am guessing the problem is at my end. I have tried in London and in Liverpool on high speed internet .and problem the same in both locations Given this I am guessing the problem is with my computer. Spec is Core i7, 8gb RAM nvidia GTX870M graphics. I have also limited the FPS to 125 in config file operating system is Win 8.1 I have read that some windows updates can affect COD4 Has anyone else had a similar problem and if so did you find a solution. Thanks in advance

    I live in UK. I think time difference between UK and EST is 5 hours. I am on most evenings during the week. weekends depends on whether I am going out or not. In terms of EST I am usualy on between 17:00 and 20:00 est I cna be on earlier during the week from 14:00 est if there are others like me who are not in USA

    Im not using steam. I have the physical disk and loaded it onto pc.. I guess there must be a setting somewhere that I need to change to get it to go to demos folder.

    Hi All I dont know if anyone else has had this problem but I couldn'tt find where demos and screenshots were being stored on my pc. Usually they would be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\main\demos but when I checked I found that I didn't have a demos or a screenshots folder in that location. I am on Windows 8.1 and after a bit of digging and head scratching it turns out that 8 and 8.1 does something odd and puts them in a virtual store. The easiest way to find the demos is to search your pc for demo00 (thats zero zero on the end) the location if you prefer is C:\Users\****\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\main\demos remember to replace the **** with your user name on your pc. Hope someone finds this useful
