Hello guys! As the title says I have a problem with my Direct X. When I'm in game on CoD4 some times I get kicked off with a error or when the game loads people and other textures are blacked out. This problem started about 2-4 days ago. I went to this site http://www.microsoft...ails.aspx?id=35  and down loaded that version. It didn't really help. If any one could help me with this problem that would be great. Thank you.

Did you try to update\roll back video drivers? And what exactly that error is saying?

I tried to update my drivers but I have a old card and the last update was in February 2010. This is what the error says: directx encountered an unrecoverable error.

I have windows xp, i ran dxdiag and it found no problems. I checked and my drivers are up to date. only thing new i installed was norton's 2011 internet security. i had some spyware and malware on my comp but it took care of it.

This is what was in the log (9-10 Trojans). I think I might of erased the log with the spyware.

Ok, it's not norton, so try change your graphics / texture settings in CoD4,
and if that doesn't work,
test another game to see whether it's just CoD4 or not.

Though if something is already in system folder...

if it's a trojan, then you have to make sure that the trojan is completely deleted, and then reinstall / repair CoD4 files / driver files,
but I don't think it is the trojan cause it looks like some java thing.
