Sometimes during a COD4 game I notice admins sometimes state "3 names"  "2 names" "2 alias" etc...what does that mean?  I hope that makes sense.   thanks in advance.

i think what you are referring to is when they go !pl that will list the player numbers... each player is assigned a number.

and lets say you are player number 3... so now they can go  !aliases 3 and it will list the other names you are playing under.   or they could go  !aliases thoracic     but number makes it a little less obvious they are checking on you.


Sometimes players are suspected of trouble.   and it is nice to see the other names they use cause it gets you some history.

If I was in the server as Theo519 and was causing a disturbance..I might get warned or kicked...   Now I change name or profile and come back... Surprise now I am BobSmith... two different people...   but if they checked my aliases it would show all the names I play under.


Not always but a lot of times when someone has PAGES and PAGES of aliases... they are trying to hide something. Or they have multiple personalities

Ok, that makes sense, I am assuming it pulls the names based on GUID.  Thanks Theo.

there are also some of us who will come on as an alias to see if members are being fair admins and representing the clan well
