Lately ive been seeing a lot of AKs going around whether its the AK-74u or AK-47.  i like the 74u but i see so many people with the 47 on the hardcore server.  so i was just wondering which one u prefer just to see which is overall the most popular AK...

They're both the best of their class. I use the 74u when I want to play more fast-paced, and the 47 when I'm going to keep a little more distance.

ak74 is nice...do not like ak47...same as real life hefty hung of junk, until it hits u of course

AK47 is a beast, but i guess it does depend on you're play style.

They're both good weapons, and if you're used to them go for it. The thing is for me is that whenever I use them I can't help feeling I'm not doing as well as I would with the M16 or MP5. And I'd also say the M16 is bettter than the AK47.

Neither one are my weapon of choice but I have played a few matches with both of them since I saw this topic and I have to go with the AK-74. The 47 is less manueverable and the recoil is tremendous but if you do hit it is often worth all the misses. The 74u is more manueverable with a higher fire rate and if fired in short bursts can kill across the map much like an Assault Rifle while its high rate of fire makes it nice in CQC.

I do like the 47 when it comes to hardcore but when i'm playing on killbox its definately the 74u

I like running around like a madman with the 74 myself.  It is sweet with sleight of hand and steady aim on

Hmm I'd go AK74 for hallways and fast paced, but I do like my AK47...hmmm I'm not sure

Technically the AK 74u is a carbine of the standard AK 74, but back to the point, like everyone said depends on the map, 74u is more for fast play for me, but the 47 is perfect for medium/long range.

I used the like the AR weapons and the AK47 out of those. Lately I have been trying to run around with a Sub and have been having a lot of success. I do like the 47u more than almost any of the other Subs, the only other one I like is the Mp5 as they seem more than a pistol, which is the feeling I get when using the Skorp.
