i have never heard of someone not using 125 maxpackets or seen it. same goes for snaps at 40. the overbrightbits and picmip stuff isn't all set numbers just stuff i would have to play around with

these are the main ones i care about the others are just to dumb down the graphics to a 1980's atri game the overbrightbits,picmip and gammai can't remember what i had those at in et r_overbrightbits 3 r_picmip 4 cl_maxpackets 125 snaps 40 rate 25000 r_gamma 5

i don't know what size would have to do with it. i didn't add anything new just changed settings and 2. way back in the day i had a fully tweaked config with stuff added and all kinds of crap. now i just have numbers changed if anything it's smaller by a touch do to me taking out numbers that were like 2.1249321 to 0 or 1 so on so forth

no just dl the game and started it up

mmmm that didn't do anything. even ended up going through everything in my cfg. tried exec it tried vid restarting it even putting my made config into every folder i have and making it my main one. and anytime i join the server everything resets

hey, coming back to gaming after being out of it for 3 1/2 years. with no team games out and normal rtcw dead i thought i would start to play some et again. played for a two months when it first came out. i logged onto your etpub server but noticed i could not tweak my settings is that something you just don't allow? or i might have did something wrong? can't say i have ever played on a server with sound packs and bots but i guess the sound packs i can live with but when do the bots go away? if ever. if the config thiing and the bots are to my liking i would diff start playing on the server since it is really the only one that i ping good on and that is a etpub run server. i would also need to talk to a admin on the server to set up some demo recording thing or something so i wouldn't get banned for ppl thinking i am cheating.
