AMC's The Walking Dead doesn't return until October, some five months from now. But according to actor Norman Reedus, it will be worth the wait. He told Entertainment Weekly recently that he thinks the new season is so good that it will make the world explode. "Trust me. I think probably the planet is going to explode," he said. "That's my feeling. It's so good. Every time we go on a promotional tour talking about what's going to come, we all say 'Oh my God, it's amazing. I can't wait for you to see it.'" Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon on the show, went on to say that he is continually surprised and impressed by the storylines the writers come up with. "It blows my mind," he said. "It just continually reaches a new plateau every single time, and this is the highest plateau we've ever been. So just wait. It's worth the wait, trust me." The Walking Dead's Season 6 finale ended with one heck of a cliffhanger, and some fans aren't too happy about it. Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead, recently said he understands why some people might be upset, but he's not apologizing for it. He added that the Season 6 cliffhanger ending will pay off in Season 7. "I'm not sorry that we did it," he said. "I don't regret that we did it, because [executive producer Scott M. Gimple] and I were trying to tell a story, and that's what we and the entire creative team decided to do. But it is what it is. We're working that much harder to come back for Season 7 and make sure that the payoff is worth the dread of the uncertainty that we've given you over the months that we're on break." The latest season of The Walking Dead has delivered some of the show's biggest shocks to date, and its return next month is hotly anticipated. A mid-season teaser has now been released, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect. Check it out below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=29&v=7LCLp1o_Nl4 In November it was announced that Negan, the notorious club-wielding villain from the Walking Dead comic books, had been cast and would appear towards the end of the current sixth season. Watchmen star Jeffrey Dean Morgan will take on the role, and is expected to become a series regular in season seven. Although Morgan is not seen in the promo, his character is mentioned by name. In a recent interview with the Telegraph, star Andrew Lincoln spoke about the willingness of the show's writers to kill off long-running, popular characters, and how it affects the other cast members. "When we start filming a season, I don't want to know if anyone's died," he said. "It's a sort of courtesy to the rest of your cast. Even though I'm an actor, I'm a very bad liar. Being sat with people at lunch, and going 'yeah, yeah', and knowing that they were on their way out... I don't think it'd be very helpful to me, or to anyone else. "We have the same reaction as the audience does when someone dies. We feel robbed." The Walking Dead season six returns to AMC on February 14, 2016. The Walking Dead: Michonne is a three-episode "mini-series" Walking Dead adventure announced in June by Telltale Games, starring—surprise!—the katana-wielding super-survivor Michonne. At the time, Telltale said the new game would be out in the fall, and as the crappy weather outside my window attests, fall is now upon us. There's still no hard release date, but Job Stauffer, the "head of creative communications" at Telltale, suggested on Twitter that it'll be coming soon. To be clear, this is not The Walking Dead Season Three. Stauffer said in a follow-up tweet, that "there will be no news on @TheWalkingDead S3 until, at earliest, after the new Michonne Mini-Series concludes." Telltale has so far released two "seasons" of its Walking Dead adventure, each divided into five episodes, the last of which came out in August 2014. It was, in our estimation, pretty good stuff. We liked the first season just fine, too. Source http://www.pcgamer.com/the-walking-dead-michonne-is-about-to-sneak-up-on-you/

AMC has renewed its zombie drama, The Walking Dead, for a seventh season. It's no surprise the network chose to commission an additional set of episodes, considering it's one of the biggest and most talked about shows currently on television. In addition, the network has re-upped the live after-show The Talking Dead, which airs following the flagship show every Sunday. The Talking Dead is hosted by Chris Hardwick. The show holds onto its title as the #1 series among adults 18-49 for the third year in a row, an impressive factoid that likely influenced the decision to push forward with the serial. Except for its air date of October 2016, there's little we know about that future season, mainly because any info would spoil what's occurring at the moment. However, it has been rumored that comic book baddie Negan is on the cards - possibly with a season six finale cameo - and that he might be played by Mad Men's Jon Hamm. Returning to executive produce next year's season are long-term Dead producers Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, Greg Nicotero and Tom Luse, with Scott Gimple acting as showrunner. The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights on AMC. Source http://www.gamesradar.com/walking-dead-season-7-happening/

The new season of AMC's The Walking Dead had got off to a bit of a slow start in terms of ratings, but this week's much-discussed episode put the hit zombie drama back on track. Variety are reporting that season six's third episode rose by 8% on the previous episode, drawing a total of 13.1 million viewers. While this is less than the equivalent episode in last season (13.8 million), it is still an impressive mid-season figure for a cable show. However, the real success story this week was the recap show Talking Dead. Because of the controversial fate of one of the series' main characters, more viewers tuned into the subsequent discussion than for any previous Talking Dead that wasn't following a premiere or finale, with a total of 6.2 million viewers. In an spoiler-filled interview with Variety, Walking Dead producer David Alpert spoke about the fans' reaction to Sunday's shocking episode. "I'm not the most beloved person when I'm walking out right now," he admitted. "But in a weird way, when people tell me they hate me for what happened last night, I take it as a compliment because it shows that they care. I made a lot of other things that nobody talks to me about at all, so it's nice when somebody cares. "We think that giving everybody what they want all the time isn't the way to actually give them what they want. You watch The Walking Dead because people you love die. Whether you admit it, that is part of the reason you watch the show, so if we stopped killing characters you loved, you wouldn't like the show anymore." Source http://www.gamespot.com/

AMC has announced plans for another companion series based in the same world as The Walking Dead, this time on the web. The 16-part series entitled Fear The Walking Dead: Flight 462 will debut on AMC.com October 4, and chronicle an in-flight outbreak during the early stages of the zombie epidemic as people aboard a commercial vessel realise one of their fellow travellers is infected. Following its online premiere, the show will continue to air every Sunday both online and during commercial breaks for The Walking Dead season 6. The one-minute episodes share a strong connection to Fear The Walking Dead - as evidenced by the show's title - and will sync up to that series further down the line. “Flight 462 is a great extension of the world of Fear and will engage fans across multiple platforms with another riveting story set at the start of the fall of civilization,” said AMC original programming president Joel Stillerman. “We are thrilled to be collaborating with Dave Erickson and David Wiener on another piece of original content. Watching how they’ll bring one of these new characters to the second season of Fear will be really exciting for viewers to follow.” You can catch the first episode of Flight 462 this Sunday, the same day Fear The Walking Dead is scheduled to wrap up its first season of slow-burn dramatics, and continue to chart its flightpath when The Walking Dead season 6 debuts on October 11 Source http://www.gamesradar.com/

Fans are eagerly anticipating the premiere of The Walking Dead season 6 this Sunday, but before Rick and co return to their screens, there's a new set of images for viewers to feast their eyes on. Admittedly, they don't give a massive amount away, but it seems clear from the new shots that the zombies are still causing trouble for our favourite band of fighters. Shocker! The Walking Dead season 6 airs in America on AMC on October 11 2015 and in the UK on FOX UK the following night. Source http://www.gamesradar.com/
