Been watching this on Netflix 13 seasons with DCI Barnaby as the main character. Really great murder mystery show. I love the English homes and countryside that they show. If your into murder mystery then I would suggest this. Also love watching Poirot, by Agatha Christie. Another great Detective murder mystery show.

It's going to bum me out when Barnaby retires, I haven't made it that far in the series. I see when they advertise on Netflix they show the faces of the New detectives that are going to replace Barnaby and his side-kick. I also use to love to watch Inspector Morse and that bummed me out when he was no longer the main character.

We enjoyed the banter he had with his family, coworkers and of course with the cases.  You become personally invested.

 

I tell my friend about it and was quite surprised someone else enjoys the show too.

You should try the female detective series that is from Australia in the 1920's.  Forget the name.  Great show.

There is also one from the BBC about a Detective in England during WWII.

Watched the whole series, I think your talking about "Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries" with Essie Davis, mans she's hot! Great show also.
