Comodo Backup

There are lots of backup tools available for Windows, and they all cover the basics: you can point them at something important such as certain files or folders and they’ll faithfully make duplicates. But what if you need more than just a simple copy?

Say hello to Comodo Backup, which is an excellent option for more advanced users. That doesn’t mean it’s complicated or frightening, though; it makes good use of wizards to guide you through the process, and even complete beginners should have solid backups under way in a matter of minutes.

Why you need it

Comodo Backup doesn’t just make copies. It uses Windows’ own Volume Shadow Copy function to make backups silently in the background without affecting your PC’s performance, and you can use it to store backups safely and securely on networked servers, in the cloud or on external drives.

It can back up anything from individual files to entire hard disks on a variety of storage media, offers a choice of incremental, differential or full backups, can create recovery media for entire system backups and gives you 10GB of cloud storage free for the first 90 days. Comodo Backup is even scriptable for backup, restore, mount and synchronization operations.
