The holidays are an expensive time, so we’re bringing you a special treat: a full, free, fun Windows program to download every day until Christmas.

Open the final door on our free downloads advent calendar to reveal Ski Challenge – an amazing free skiing game that will keep you occupied in the post-dinner lull (and for many days afterwards).

The objective is to complete a downhill skiing course in the best time possible, choosing the most efficient racing line and skilfully maneuvering your skier down the mountain.

Piste of the action

The seven main courses in this edition of Ski Challenge include Seslong in Val Gardena, Italy; Lauberhorn in Wengen, Switzerland; and Streiz in Kitzbühel, Austria. There are also three bonus courses to complete.

You can play using a game controller or keyboard and mouse, and you can quickly toggle the camera between first- and third-person views.

Ski Challenge looks fantastic, and will give you hours of fun completely free.
