Finding the best deals on Black Friday is no mean feat. With online retailers engaged in a fierce price-slashing competition and new offers appearing all day, how can you be sure you’re getting the cheapest offer right now?

That’s where Pricehawk – a Google Chrome extension from the creators of TechRadar – comes in. When you visit an online store, PriceHawk automatically checks its database and presents the best live deals right in your browser.

It also searches for voucher codes for the site you're visiting, which you can apply at the checkout.

You can also search for products manually if you have something specific in mind – simply click View Deals, and click the Search tab. Pricehawk will display suggested products in real time as you type.

Pricehawk detects the product you're looking at and shows you the best prices in its database of current deals. It also checks for live voucher codes to use at the checkout

Pricehawk isn't obstructive and won't take over your browser – it remains tucked away as a discreet button beside the address bar until it detects a shopping link, at which point it pops up a small notice letting you know about available deals. If you're still researching your options and aren't ready to buy, you can either set the alerts to snooze temporarily, or disable them for that site.
