sincity Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 With Launchy, opening any program, file or folder is as simple as typing the first few letters of its name. No more tedious searching or trawling through your list of installed apps - everything is at your fingertips. Why you need it Finding the programs and files you need can be a real hassle. Windows' built-in search function is okay, but it can be slow to respond and only shows a few search results at once. Poring over your list of apps in Windows 10 is even worse, and scouring Explorer for essential files is truly the pits. What you need is Launchy. Once it's indexed your apps and documents, this simple little app opens up when you hit [Alt]+[space] and allows you to quickly search for the program, file, folder or bookmark you need. Launchy displays a list of matches that's populated as you type, so it's not necessary to type the full name of the program. Once you see the right one, just click it and hit [Enter] and Launchy will load it up, ready for use. Launchy is very straightforward and easy to use, and there are lots of free plugins to extend its feature set. There's Killy, which kills processes instead of launching them, Mathy Resurrected, which adds an advanced calculator to Launchy, and many more. Give it a try; you'll be amazed how much time you can save. 1 Quote
