Urine_Sample Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Going thru Workmans Ciomp case for 4 herniated discs. The insurance hasnt payed out a dime of Workmans Comp despite the injury happening at their clients workplace and my attorney sucks major ass cause he hasn't been able to compel the insurer to pay out. 1½ yrs so far with no cash and with orders from 4 different back specialist that I cant work. Got evicted - lightas turned off - phones shut off - cars repoed - noi more college(even if it was just community, still...) - pawned valuble items to get $$$ my atty cant get me - medical bills that continue to pile up - an I ran out of sources to borrow money from etc. luckily we staying in the top section of a 2 flat my moms owns for now, but for how long when she has ppl interested in it? She cant show it tothemwithus lounging in here. I am hurting bigtime and it seems like my atty couldn't care any less because of course, he was able to pay rent, bills, buy something for wife and his mom for mothers days etc. while I'm up to my neck literally in backowed payments that would be covered had he f***ing actually do something about the arbitrator of the insurer and get me the worksman comp pay anyone else would get. They offering 15k for each herniated disc and and extra 18k for time off work. and medicals payed so, wouldnt the atty want his 20% out of 78k that is offered to his client ASAP?!?!? I agreed to the settlement so all we're waiting on at this point is the contracts to sign, Been waiting 3 months on these contracts still. WTF!?!? AHHHHH!!! I dont think it's normal for an atty to leave his client like this for so long, but with the case almost done, I just want my 62.5k and this case over with so i can go back to work and school Quote
gigabyte Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Sounds just like me, it took my attorney about a year to get my workers comp. Quote

I had a comp case bout 10 years ago. It takes a long time for those wankers to pay up. Your lawyer may be douche bag, make sure you have all your documentation witnesses ect. incase your lawyers nubs it up. JMHO Quote

Urine_Sample Posted May 12, 2010 Author Posted May 12, 2010 Redicoulous comp case in europe we dont know stuff like that, here we just have to work so ppl dont go sit at home waiting for money (but i wish you good luck ) . that's the thing, I hate not doing shit with myself while this case goes on. but the atty is insistant that I dont work because according to him, if the arbritator notices my SSN tied to an employer of sorts while the comp case is ongoing, it would exasperate the medical treatment im undergoing along with opening myself to another accident while this one goes on blah blah blah buynch of legal shit to me but to be honest, my back is as good as it's going to get but this guy just wants tio milk them when i want it done already. he gonna get nice paytout too so i dont know what he's dragging for Quote
detoren Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Well i didnt blame you :0 if i cools casch 60 mille i woold stay in bed also but its a sick community when we think like this (soz i have employees i am on other side of the wallet ) i have to take all kind of ensurances and this way my employees make moore money than me . lol but in europe its on a lower scale if i had 60 mille i woold retire in india and go live at yoyo place (joke) Quote
croZz Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Are you f**kin serious... Where do you live urine??? WCB is bullshit i tell ya! When I was at my old job, (Mechanical Insulator) I was insulating a 27 inch steal pipe and the plumbers did a shitty job fastening them to the corner joints. and being a mechanical insulator it requires you to squeeze into tight spots and shit. I fell about 13 feet because the pipe came loos and i broke my right arm(main hand used for work) and i claimed WCB cus my job told me i should. It took me just under a year to get money for surgery on my elbow. Workers Comp is a joke. Total complete joke! But i wish you luck man. suggestion. get a new attorney. Quote

It took me just under a year to get money for surgery on my elbow. Workers Comp is a joke. Total complete joke! But i wish you luck man. suggestion. get a new attorney. Im in Chicago. The thing is, even though I want to let this atty go, knowing how life plays wth me, the moment i tell him he's fired, he's gonna call me the next day and say he has the contracts on hand. That is the story of my life. When I need for something to come thru as planned, it never does. And once im already on an alternate method, that thing I've been waiting on comes through at the wrong time. Always! Never fails. So, of course I want to get back to work because if anything, my back is as good as it's going to get right now and is why we agreed to the contract and settlement of 78k. But he insist i dont work until released as it would exasperate the treatment blah blah blah. everyone tells me once u agreed, the atty should have the contracts within a matter of days,.. i go there to sign and he gives me my net check after his 20%. 3 months later and Im still waiting for him to get contracts. So I dont know if he's bullshitng me around or if the arbrtraitor is bullshitting my atty which then makes a cascade reaction. i might as well hang on a lil more Quote
Funksdead Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Same shit with me..i was breaking up a fight between two a holes and one tried to kick the other missed and hyper extended my knee breaking off some cartilage... well i had rehab, surgery more rehab back to work for 6 months then had final comp case..took like 16 months for it all to play out. try to hang in there, there is a lot of shit that goes down behind the scenes Quote
