Saving player profile

Couldn't find this posted anywhere so here goes... If I crash or clean hard drive obviously you will lose you COD4 data. So if I back up my players folder out of the COD4 folder and after COD4 reinstall I swap out the player folder I should be OK ?? I am sure someone has done this....

yea, i've done it a lot. just save it and the copy paste it back :P.
