50-100 more ping than usual

Hey,
 
on jay1 my ping is usually about 147 ms.
When server is full, it jumps to 170 usually.
Compared to EU servers it is horrible (there I just have 50ms), but I am used to it
 
But for the past week my ping is always around 190 anytime I join and it jumps to 250 when server gets full.
Don't know if my ISP is fked up or the server of jay1.
At the moment it is not playable for me. I have to leave server as it is just lagging horribly. No fun, no joy.

Used to have moments like that as well at the past and the problem was at ISP side, since everything else was working normal and at certain servers i have had increased ping, up to 100 more than usually.

The thing for u to try here is, test couple of different servers and see if everyone is giving you higher ping or just some in particular and u can then point your finger at more precise matter of problem.

Everything is fine for me when I play on other servers.

I complain about a lot of things but ping is usually not the matter. I mean I could play on EU servers with a ping of 50 but I chose to play on jay1 with 150 ping. It was bearable. Laggy when server got full but bearable. I never complained about it.

 

Now it is just unplayable, really. Like I shoot bullets, and they leave the gun 1-2 secs later. People shoot me down around corners. In every single close fight I am lagging horribly, like really lagging. Like even with steady fps of 125, enemies are warping in front of me.

 

I know you can't do much about it but I think I'm gonna quit playing on jay1. As jay1 is the only FA server I play, this is probably my last times around.

I'll keep checking occasionally if it gets better.

 

And I am not a person who rage quits, like because of tiny things. It is really really not playable. It is probably my ISP, I don't know.

Kind of hard to pinpoint the problem at this point, Dare could give it a closer look with your host and Jay1 host to see if there's any issue, but u should still see if your ISP is the cause of problems. Do u have same higher ping on Jay2/silent/hardcore servers? If only like half of the servers are affected by higher ping, it could be the ISP issue, but if its only Jay1 and every other FA US based server is fine, then it might be something there. Could give it some time to pass or test jay2 for the meantime, as if it happend out of nowhere, it can probably just go back to normal in one point.
