Gu says the organization was considering the sale of the team as far back as a month ago, but that the decision to officially sell was only made within the past week. When questioned, no asking price was provided. Team Impulse had a strong Summer Split, but failed to qualify for the World Championships after placing fourth in the Summer Split playoffs and losing to Cloud9 in the Regional Qualifier. The organization intends to find a new owner and complete the transfer of the team quickly, so as to provide enough time for the recipient to establish a roster and resources ahead of the 2016 LCS season.
