Following the announcement of the celebrity voice cast for Call of Duty: Black Ops III's Zombies mode over the summer, Activision has now confirmed which actors will have roles in the game's campaign. As suspected, Law & Order's Christopher Meloni (Agent Stabler on the long-running crime drama) will play a quasi-bad guy named John Taylor, a Special Forces Commander.

Joining Meloni is Battlestar Galactica's Katee Sackhoff, who plays a character named Sarah Hall. According to Entertainment Weekly, Hall "was at the top of her class on her aptitude tests, which caused her to be chosen for Special Forces training." Sackhoff previously voiced characters in Halo 3, Resistance 2, and Spider-Man: Edge of Time. Her voice will also be heard in EVE: Valkyrie.

Also appearing in Black Ops III's campaign is Tony Amendola (Stargate SG-1), Sean Douglas (Days of Our Lives), Rachel Kimsey (Days of Our Lives, The Young and the Restless), Ben Browder (Farscape), and Abby Brammel (The Unit). Watch the story trailer above to see these characters in action.

The campaign mode for last year's Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare featured Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey in a lead role. Past games have featured people like Gary Oldman, Kiefer Sutherland, and Sam Worthington, among others.

As was previously announced, Black Ops III's Zombies mode features the voices and likenesses of actors Jeff Goldbum, Ron Perlman, Neal McDonough, and Heather Graham.

Black Ops III launches on November 6 for all platforms. The last-generation versions of the shooter do not have a campaign mode, only multiplayer and Zombies.

Adding Franchise-First "Realistic" Difficulty

The trophy list for Call of Duty: Black Ops III has emerged, revealing new details about the latest entry in Activision's blockbuster shooter series. Starting off, a franchise-first "Realistic" difficulty setting is mentioned in the list, published by Exophase. This would appear to be the game's new toughest difficulty setting, above the existing Hardened and Veteran. No further details about the "Realistic" setting were divulged.

Past Call of Duty games have featured Recruit, Regular, Hardened, and Veteran difficulty settings. The name "Realistic" would suggest that there may be no health-regeneration, but developer Treyarch has yet to confirm any specific details. We'll have that information to you when it becomes available.

In addition, the trophy list reveals that the Dead Ops Arcade mini-game from the original Black Ops will return. On top of that, it appears the max multiplayer level will be 55. Head to Exophase to see all the trophies, but be warned, they contain some light spoilers for the main game and its Zombies mode.

Black Ops III launches on November 6 for all platforms. The last-generation versions of the shooter do not have a campaign mode, a point that will be made clear on the game's box. Recently, Activision conducted a viral marketing campaign for Black Ops III where it live-tweeted a fake terrorist attack.
